The basic function set of the 4TM is to protect the motor in a refrigeration compressor from overheating as a result of locked rotor or running overload.
The 4TM provides this protection by sensing the current and temperature of the motor. The 5TM has all of the attributes of the 4TM with an added Integral Backup Protection System. A second disc is formed to a temperature 38.5ºC (100ºF) higher and placed on top of the standard disc. Price: $28.50 each
